Author Preparation & Submission Guidelines

Comprehensive instructions for manuscript formatting, similarity check, copyright transfer, and presentation

1. Manuscript Formatting Rules

  • Template: Manuscripts must strictly follow the standard IEEE two-column conference format.
  • Page Limit: Regular papers are permitted up to 6 pages (including figures, tables, and references). Extra pages may incur an additional charge.
  • File Format: Initial submission must be in PDF format.
  • Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English.
  • Blind Review: Single-blind review process. Author names, affiliations, and emails should be clearly listed on the submitted manuscript.

2. Plagiarism, Similarity & Ethics Policy

ICIMI 2027 maintains zero tolerance for plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or unethical submission practices.

  • IEEE Turnitin / iThenticate: All submissions are automatically screened upon submission.
  • Similarity Threshold: Manuscripts exceeding standard similarity thresholds or showing uncredited textual overlap will be summarily rejected.
  • COPE Compliance: Adheres strictly to the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
  • Dual Submissions: Concurrent submission to another conference or journal is strictly prohibited.

3. Peer Review & Selection Process

Every paper submitted to ICIMI 2027 undergoes a rigorous evaluation process:

Step 1: Desk Screening

Initial check for scope alignment, IEEE template compliance, page limits, and Turnitin similarity index.

Step 2: Technical Review

Single-blind peer review by at least two independent subject matter experts from the TPC.

Step 3: Acceptance Notification

Formal decision (Accept, Revision, or Reject) communicated to corresponding author by 15 June 2027.

4. Camera-Ready & IEEE Copyright Transfer

  • IEEE PDF eXpress: Camera-ready manuscripts must be validated using IEEE PDF eXpress to ensure full compliance with IEEE Xplore requirements.
  • IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF): Corresponding authors of accepted papers must transfer copyright to IEEE via the eCF tool prior to final publication.
  • Submission Deadline: Camera-ready files and copyright forms are due by 15 July 2027.

5. Registration & Presentation Policy

  • Mandatory Registration: At least one author of each accepted paper must complete full registration by 05 July 2027.
  • Presentation Requirement: The paper must be presented in-person during the conference by a registered author.
  • IEEE Xplore Indexing: Non-presented papers ("No-Show" policy) will not be submitted to IEEE Xplore per IEEE rules.
